Thank you for your interest in joining the Fédération Internationale des Quilleurs (FIQ) family. On behalf of more than 100 million people who bowl we invite you to join FIQ and our Olympic Quest.

In the section "MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION" you will find a request for documents and other information that will allow FIQ to process your application for membership. Once you have assembled and delivered this information to our FIQ office, it will be reviewed. After the review, if there are any questions you will be contacted for clarification(s) and possible action(s) on your part.

When your membership application has been completed, it will be forwarded to the FIQ Presidium for Provisional Membership consideration. For your information the Presidium meets twice a year. The FIQ Presidium, however, can also grant a provisional membership by ballot voting. If the FIQ Presidium grants your federation Provisional status, you will have all membership rights, except the right to vote.

Full Membership, including voting rights, can only be granted by the FIQ Congress, which meets every two years, unless a special session is called. When you become a provisional member, by a vote of the Presidium or a full member by a vote of the Congress, you will not be required to pay dues for the year in which you are admitted as a (provisional) member. Thereafter, dues statements will be mailed annually in January.

All documents must be submitted in English or Spanish, to help resolve any translation questions that may arise during the application process or after you obtained full membership.

Statistical information is absolutely essential and is an obligation of membership in FIQ. The numbers you supply will be used to market and promote our sport to the world. Please make sure you update the FIQ office whenever there are changes in organic documents, statistical and/or contact information. 

We encourage you to use the Internet. If you do not have an E-mail address or a Website please put them at the top of your acquisition list.

There is an old proverb that says, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step." You have taken the first step towards a marvellous destination: membership in the FIQ family. All of us at FIQ will be happy to expedite your journey. When we can be of assistance please let us know.
